Events Assistant

Walk It Out

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a passionate organisation to help in improving the health and wellbeing of females.

This exciting role will see you working on many diverse projects and we are looking for someone to join our passionate team who has excellent skills in organisation and time management to ensure the smooth running of an event.

Walk it out was created in 2021 to improve the health and well-being of females, to raise awareness, improve women's safety and empower young girls and women to stand up for themselves at home and in public.

We are an organisation passionate about enhancing the voice of the community, providing workshops tailored to build confidence, our goal is to empower ALL!

We are committed to tackling crime through building community relationships and interventions of support, creating hope and making positive changes in the community as a whole.

Main task and responsibilities

  • To support Walk it out volunteers to deliver an impactful and positive event
  • Log information accurately across all events on our database
  • Assist on a range of campaigns, activities and social events
  • Be able to travel and volunteer across London borough of Redbridge.

Due to the nature of our group where we work closely with vulnerable women we will be considering female applicants only for this role.

  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive mindset with natural determination and ambition.
  • Experience of dealing with the general public in a responsive and friendly manner.
  • Reliable and thorough approach to work.
  • The ability to work well with other volunteers as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships in a diverse organisation.
