Royal Gunpowder Mills
Royal Gunpowder Mills is a heritage attraction with lively and engaging visitor, learning and volunteering programmes. In addition to telling the story of the most important site in Europe for the manufacture of gunpowder, areas of our historic 170 acre site are a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Visitors are offered the 30 minute tractor trailer guided tour around the site, where they can see and learn about RGM’s science, nature and history.
As a volunteer driver you will learn the route and skills involved to manoeuvre the tractor and trailer around the bends and over the bridges of the site giving a comfortable ride to the visitors.
All you need is a full UK driving licence, to pass your assessment and have some free time at weekends.
