Lunch Cook - The Marjorie Collins MS Centre

Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society) Redbridge (Marjorie Collins Centre)

We are looking for an experienced caterer/cook who can cater for our members on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes. We currently run a lunch service that has been run by volunteers for over 20 years and are now looking for a new face to join our team. We have a well equipped kitchen for you to work in.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • You will be working alongside a team of kitchen assistants who will help to clear and tidy the kitchen and wash up.
  • We are looking for someone who can design a menu.
  • Replenish stock  adhering to food Hygiene Standards  to ensure our members eat healthy nutritious food.

What skills do I need?

Skills, attributes, qualifications and experience

  • Reliable and caring
  • Experienced caterer/cook
  •  Will be required to complete an online food and hygiene course supplied by organisation.
  • Ideally candidate will have food and hygiene certificates.
  • Experience of catering for large groups of people essential.
  • Experience of health and safety practices also beneficial.
  • Use of a car would be beneficial.
  • Ability to delegate tasks to a small group of kitchen assistants.
  • Need to be 18+

Morning Afternoon Evening

Weekly, Tuesdays and Thursday mornings .
