Walk It Out

We are in search for a female only park walk ambassador to lead a one hour park walk in your area.

Walk it out was created in 2021 to improve the health and well-being of females, to raise awareness, improve women's safety and empower young girls and women to stand up for themselves at home and in public.

We are an organisation passionate about enhancing the voice of the community, providing workshops tailored to build confidence, our goal is to empower ALL!

We are committed to tackling crime through building community relationships and interventions of support, creating hope and making positive changes in the community as a whole. 

Due to the nature of our group where we work closely with vulnerable women we will be considering female applicants only for this role.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • To be reliable, punctual and organised.
  • Be able to walk at a steady pace for one hour.
  • A commitment to regular communications and interactions between walks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Walk It Out will only accept female applicants for all volunteering roles. 

  • Organisational skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • A non-judgemental approach.
  • Ability to relate to young people and adults and act as a positive role model.

We are looking for Volunteers to give one hour of their time weekly to lead park walks in the London borough of Redbridge and give time to input data, check group messages and attend meetings (approx two hours weekly).

Will need to be able to lead a park walk once a month, we will work around a time and day which suits the volunteer, will need own phone and data.

    Email an expression of interest with a covering letter and CV following an informal interview via Zoom. Recruitment process is approximately two weeks.
