Join us at Redbridge Equalities and Community Council (RECC). We are a small Charity.
Incorporated Organisation(CIO) with growth potential and ambitious goals for the future. We are looking to strengthen the capacity and diversity of our Board to help advance our mission.

Our objectives are:

• To promote equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different groups and circumstances, having regard to age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, and pregnancy and maternity.

• To work towards the elimination of discrimination on those grounds, in particular, in the London Borough of Redbridge.

We want to develop our services, to deliver more to the diverse communities we serve and grow our reach and sustainability.

 Main tasks and responsibilities 

• Trustees are collectively responsible for the direction and performance
  of the Charity.
• You will work collaboratively as a Board to set strategies, policies, monitor financial health and sustainability.
• You will work with RECC's small staff team work in a non hierarchical structure with the active engagement of the Board's operational oversight, developmental support and guidance.

What skills do I need?

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications

• We welcome expressions of interest from members of our local communities and individuals with experience in one or more of the following:
• Accounting/Bookkeeping (QuickBooks), Auditing, Strategic planning, Policy development, Fundraising,  HR,  Safeguarding,  Quality improvement, Systems change, design, development, Digital media/PR/Events/Campaigns management.

Board meetings are held every 2 months between 7pm - 8.30pm,currently online via Zoom.
