Redbridge Respite Care Association - (Stronger Together Project)

Redbridge Respite Care Association is a charity that supports people with mental health problems, including dementia, and their carers, living in the community. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • To promote independence, health and well being to service users with Dementia, Mental health and their carer's.
  • To encourage people to resume or take up hobbies and interests such as connecting with nature, music sessions, art therapy, physical activities like walking or armchair exercises 
  • To assist trips to the theatre and lunch outings for services users.
  • To support service users to access to peer support group, have one to one social interaction/help to develop friendships and support with each other.

  • Within your role, you will support the well being support worker and project manager to deliver the wellbeing activities and oversee the peer support session.
  • You will help set up/ put away equipment used at the group as well as supporting to make refreshment's.

Our groups are currently on Wednesdays 11am -1pm (Out in the community - walking group) Thursdays 10am-12pm and 12.30pm-2.30pm each week in a hall completing different activities.
